Best of March (& Personal Update)
First a quick update: I have my mum visiting here from Australia this week so, as you can probably imagine, I am spending a lot of time with her. Also, we are off to Hawaii (Maui) this Saturday 5th April for a week. So things will probably be a bit quiet around here for the next week or two. I will, however, still be doing the PickTheBrain thing. And I am working on a couple of big changes for this site that I am very excited about. One of these changes will probably surprise you as well….
Ok, lets move on. My pick of the articles I published in March are:
- Mind Over Mattress: How to Wake Earlier When All You Want to Do is Sleep. This is one for the sleepy heads out there.
- How to Change Another Person’s Life. It’s easier than you think.
- The Perfect Day. Can just a normal, straight-forward day really be considered “perfect”?
I have also read some excellent articles elsewhere during the past month. Here are a few that stood out:
- How To Find Your True Purpose. Todd looks at why external success does not always translate into internal fulfillment.
- Confessions from a Recovering Father. Alex is courageous enough to examine what he would do differently as a father with the benefit of hindsight.
- Building Habits. Tad talks about building two habits that are very close to my own heart.
- 10 Things I Have Learned About Professional Blogging. Jeremy shares his insights into blogging - a great read for all the bloggers out there.
- 5 Little Things. Bruce shares 5 little things that have the ability to change who you are. Anyone who has read The Tipping Point (I am halfway through it at the moment) will know small things can make a big difference….
Thank you everyone for your continued support of this blog. I really appreciate it, and wish you all the best for April ![]()

Peter,
I can’t wait to see the big changes you’ve got planned here! Have fun in Hawaii - my wife has been begging to go there, but I just keep convincing her to have more babies instead (it costs about the same and we’re on #2 in two years - I’ll probably have to cave and choose Hawaii next year):) Thanks for the mention above - I really appreciate it! Have a great trip! -Jeremy

Peter,
Thanks for including me in your best of March roundup! Enjoy your time away - I’m just back from the Blue Ridge Mountains myself! While I’m paying for it in email back up at the moment - it sure is great to be unplugged for a few days!

Hey Pete,
Have a lovely break — I’m sure you’ve more than earned it!
Just wanted to say how much I’ve been enjoying I Will Change Your Life over the past couple of months … I can always rely on you to write full, thoughful, beautifully presented articles, and I get quite excited when there’s a new post.
Enjoy yourself,
Ali

Thanks Peter for your blog, I started reading two weeks ago and your words have truly changed my life. I have been going through the darkest time of my life and I have felt at times there was no point in continuing my miseable existence. Your blog has given me new hope that my life is worth something and I can change direction and make a difference in the world.
God bless,
Dubba

Aloha!
Just thought I would pop my head in here to let everyone know I am still alive
. We’ve had a great time in Maui, and I’m not so sure I want to leave. We fly back Sat night so I will begin posting again regularly again next week. Hope everyone is well.
